If there's anyone that literally always gives good hair, it's Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale. She's been medium brown, brown with blonde highlights, medium blonde, and bright blonde, and they all look great on her. This is partly thanks to genetics (the girl is just straight up gorge), and partly thanks to her hairstylist Kristin Ess, who has great hair herself. (She also has a killer hair line at Target. If you haven't tried it yet, you should.) Well, Ess has outdone herself again, taking Hale even darker. She also cut her hair into a shorter bob. To say we're obsessed would be an understatement.

Ess tells Allure there was really no reason behind the switch up. "I just suggested it and she was into it!" she says. Ess dyed Hale's hair a deep brown that borderlines on black. She made sure there was a little warmth in it so it would work beautifully against Hale's fair skin. "This color still reflects light and complements the warmth in her skin tone," she explains. "She's pale but warm pale. It could still look harsh on some but she has those light eyes, big brows, and naturally pink lips so I think it all pairs perfectly!"

Hale wasn't the only PLL star to change up her hair. Sasha Pieterse, who plays Alison DiLaurentis, actually added length to her blonde hair with extensions. You can see both girls' hot new hair when they visit The Ellen DeGeneres Show today.
