As women, we put our breasts through a lot. We hoist them, smoosh them, breast-feed babies with them, strap them into lingerie, and cram them into tight sports bras. After years of taking all that abuse, sometimes our girls could use a little extra support. But what if your standard push-up just ain’t cutting it?
Enter: The Orbix Breast Support System — a silicone hammock that acts as an “internal bra” for your boobs. According to their website, the Orbix System consists of “a sling that is inserted into the breast and fastened to the ribs using special bone anchors. The sling is raised and secured to lift and support breast tissue.”
Sounds…painful? Although unlike a traditional breast lift, Orbix claims the results of their internal bra procedure last longer with more minimal scarring.
“Think of it as a hammock that sits underneath your breast to keep it supported, or like the bottom part of an underwire bra,” Orbix Medial CEO, Yossi Mazel, said in an interview with ABC News.
Orbix is currently seeking FDA approval for its procedure, which is already being performed in some European countries.
As for us, we’ll be sticking to our trusty old external push-up. At least for now.
