Heavy Eye Makeup
Wearing dark, heavy looking eyeshadows and eyeliners can instantly add age, and frosty finishes will enhance even the tiniest of fine lines you have around the eyes. Instead of wearing thick eyeliner, thin it down a bit making an emphasis to enhance just the lash-line, giving definition that's polished and natural.
If you line heavily under your eyes, you are cutting the shape and working against the idea of making eyes appear larger and brighter. Instead, opt for eyeshadows in more natural tones and don't blend anything too high about your natural crease line. Finish with lots of mascara on the top lashes only.

Wearing Blush Too Low
A huge makeup mistake that women can make is heavy, dark blush along with where to apply it. Applying blush too low can result in dark streaks rather than blended contour, and adds years to the face. To put it in the simplest of terms, if you've worked really hard on your makeup and your blush doesn't look right, you might as well start over. Applying blush in an upward motion on the apples of the cheeks is the best way to add color and highlight. Blend, blend, blend that blush until it looks natural.

Too Much Matte
Have you ever seen someone with so much matte foundation or powder on their skin, and it's all you can focus on? Heavy, matte foundation is the enemy of a youthful appearance, as it makes the skin appear dry and a bit lifeless at times. Your skin should remain dewy with the right amount of coverage, not creating a mask or streaks along the jawline because it's the wrong color. Find a hydrating foundation that matches, and blend small amounts of it on the skin until you have the coverage you need, nothing too excessive. I can't express enough how important this particular tip is when turning back time on age.
If you're feeling like you need to make a change, all it takes are a few simple tweaks to make you look and feel younger. Here's to your best self, no matter what age you are!
