Makeup artists on Instagram have been exploring more creative ways to disguise under eye circles with other mediums, such as flowers and glitter,
for years now — concealer, be damned. However, one MUA recently tried
something cheesier (literally). Vancouver-based makeup artist Nicole
Kuppan painted ooey-gooey slices of pepperoni pizza onto her face with
makeup. As a mother of five children, she knows a thing or two about
covering up under eye circles. The pizza slices were so effective that
she "skipped the concealer step of my base face prep," Kuppan tells Allure.
[post_ads]Like most of us, Kuppan has been loving the new bookmark option on Instagram. "I came across the artist [known as] @deladeso
on Instagram and saved a lot of his works in my folder for
inspiration," she explains. (If you check out his page, you'll find tons
of art with the same dripping motif.) Thus, pizza under-eye slices were
born. She was planning to create lip art, too, but her nine-month-old
baby boy woke up as she was creating this delicious look. TBH, that
somewhat worked in her favor, and we actually love the unfinished,
no-makeup makeup vibe. It makes pizza makeup look surprisingly low key
and casual. She could run to the grocery store with this look, right?

[post_ads]Before creating the pizza part of her makeup, Kuppan prepped her skin with the M.A.C. Face and Body Foundation and lined her lower lash lines with M.A.C.'s Eye Kohl in Smolder. She also swiped on a couple coats of lengthening mascara and brushed on a taupe eye shadow. For the actual pizza slices, Kuppan drew them on with several different colors of the Mehron Paradise AQ, a high-performance face paint.
Then, she added some shading with shadows from the Urban Decay Full Spectrum Palette. (it's one of her favorite palettes.) In case you were wondering what she did with her brows, Kuppan filled them in with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in Soft Brown and added some hold with the Benefit Gimme Eyebrow Gel in #3.
This look sure gives a whole new meaning to "pizza face." This definition is much kinder, too.
