If you are looking for a more minimal look on your manicure, lipgloss nails are here for you. I have no doubt that lipgloss nails are going to take over the mani world this year. They are glossy and glamorous, but the main thing is that they add a polished rockstar vibe to your look. Let's dig in to learn more about this lavish trend.
First things first: What is lipgloss nail?
Do not get confused! This nail trend does not have anything to do with putting lipgloss on nails! They are just a new way to sport neutral nails with a more shiny and polished look. It seems like you just freshly swiped your nails with lip gloss to get that diamond shine. The look can be created using nude, natural, brown shades, and baby pink hues. This shiny manicure can easily go with your trendy makeup looks.
Lipgloss nails vs. glazed donut nails
Hailey Bieber made headlines with glazed donut nails last year. Glazed donut nails involve chrome powder dusted over the nail polish for the shimmery and shiny output. Lipgloss nails follow the same pattern, but the work is more with the natural nails, so it’s basically sheerer. This look is more complimentary to your skin tone and gives you a seamless look.

How to create lipgloss nails at home
This sheer look does not make a mess, so it's easy to do it yourself. You just need a nail file, manicure stick, nail buffer, base coat, sheer nude or light pink nail polish, and a glossy top coat.
As the main star is your natural nails, they must be in good shape. Your nails need to be super clean and well buffed. After that, apply one coat of either sheer or shimmering iridescent polish to create a jelly-milky effect. You can also lightly dust a thin layer of white chrome powder on the nails to create more of a pearlescent effect. You can add glitter to the tip for a little extra sparkle.
