[post_ads]From Missy Elliott to Cher to Bette Midler,
Marc Jacobs has been keen on featuring music royalty in his ad
campaigns from the past few seasons. Spring 2017 is no exception–Jacobs
revealed the first image featuring Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of
Courtney Love and the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. Photographed by
David Sims, this is Frances's first-ever major fashion campaign.
"I
first met Frances Bean when she was two years old at a dinner with her
mom (Courtney) and Anna Sui in 1994 at Bar Six in NYC," Jacobs wrote on Instagram,
"I have always wanted to work with Frances. Her beauty, uniqueness, and
strength is something I have long admired and respected."
"Few things remain as
constant as my continued inspiration from those whose honesty,
integrity, courage, and curiosity lead them to explore and venture
beyond preconceived boundaries," Jacobs continued.
Frances shared a behind the scenes shot on Instagram as well.

Her mother, who Jacobs calls the "Goddess of Grunge" was one of the
faces of the brand's Spring 2016 campaign (also starring Kendall Jenner,
Cara Delevingne, and Susan Sarandon).
