Here! A piece of good new from Canada, which FYI is the only place still willing to export that to us: According to new research compiled at the University of Alberta (and summarized on Science of Us) women who own dogs while they're pregnant give birth to healthier babies.
[post_ads]The data finds that children born into households that have pets, 70 percent of which were dogs, have better levels of two strains of gut bacteria "linked to decreased risks of obesity and allergic disease."
Apparently, the science indicates that even if you get rid of your dog (you monster) once you come home from the hospital, your kid is still likely to benefit from the prenatal exposure. But don't do that. It's not very nice. And what's more; your holiday cards will immediately suffer.
Here, the conclusive evidence you didn't ask for that puppies and babies are good, right, and now backed by science.
