As unapologetic mascara junkies, we're always keeping an eye out for the next big (voluminous) thing—and there were tons of new ones to check out this season. We put them to the test.
L'Oréal Paris Extra-Volume Collagen Mascara
It took a while to get the hang of the formula (it's very creamy, so it kept smudging onto our lids as we applied), but once we did, we had long, lush lashes that were noticeably thicker.

Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara
The large bushy brush delivered amazing volume and length (we looked like we had sprouted twice as many lashes). And because it was completely clump-free, it still looked natural.
Nars Larger Than Life Lengthening Mascara
The pointy brush made it easy to hit our wimpy outer lashes, and the formula delivered: Our lashes were so long that they practically touched our brows.

Clarins Wonder Perfect Mascara
It gave us serious volume, and the color was nice and rich, so our lashes really stood out. It didn't add quite as much length as we would have liked.
Revlon DoubleTwist Mascara
The mix of traditional (hair-brush-like) and plastic bristles resulted in major thickness. It was the clumpiest one of the bunch, though.
Maybelline New York Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara
You have to hold the button down the entire time to keep the vibrations going, which makes this wand awkward to maneuver. But the result was worth it: super-long, defined lashes with no spidery effects.

Avon SuperCurlacious Mascara
The rubbery bristles separated our lashes nicely, and thanks to the curved shape, it was easy to reach every lash without making a mess. But we didn't notice much curling.
