In a sea of natural bridal beauty looks, a bold pop of deep, dark color is a welcome way to switch it up. While we love neutral eyeshadow and those my-lips-but-better lipsticks as much as the next bride, the unexpected is always exciting. Enter our new favorite color combo, metallic gold and moody plum. We asked our friends at Facetime Beauty to find a way to work the rich shades into a wedding-ready look and we couldn't be more impressed with what they came up with.
[post_ads]As much as we love this color palette for a bride, we also think it's a perfect choice for a maid of honor who wants to distinguish herself from the rest of the bridal party. And if you're attending any fall or winter weddings, it's perfectly pretty and subtle enough to rock as a guest. Whatever your status—bride, bridesmaid, or guest—this punchy beauty look is the ultimate way to feel glamorous and chic on the big day.
Replicating the style on your own is a breeze. Our makeup artists began by layering shimmery gold and copper shades onto the eyelids before applying black liner to the upper and lower lash lines. After finishing off the eyes with a bit of mascara, they then applied highlighter to the tops of the cheekbones for a natural glow. For the lips, the Facetime Team applied a dark wine-colored lipstick and then sealed everything in with lip liner to prevent color bleeding. The result is polished and bold without being loud or over the top.
