When it's hot and humid out, the last thing you want to do is spend a lot of time styling your hair only for your look to get frizzy and sweaty. We've rounded up our favorite summer-friendly celebrity hairstyles to try.

Create Beachy Waves
Perfectly tousled waves usually require a full day at the beach or some serious curling iron skills—unless you try this easy cheat. Divide dry hair into two sections. Braid each section and secure with an elastic band. Then working with one braid at a time, run a flatiron down the length of it. Once cool, unravel each braid for instant beach waves.

Just Roll with It
On a particularly sweaty summer day, your goal is to have your hair up and off your neck. Mark Townsend, celebrity stylist for Dove, has a fresh way to do it. Separate your hair into two sections. Loosely grab them at the nape of the neck and twist them in toward each other, making one ponytail. Secure with elastic. Then roll up all the hair from the ends and secure the shape with bobby pins.

Texturize Your Topknot
Elevate a basic, on-top-of-your-head bun by braiding the hair in your pony before you wrap it around itself. Anchor with bobby pins. Done!
Braid Your Bangs
On a hot, humid day, bangs will either grease up or simply refuse to cooperate. The solution: Braid them. Secure ends with a tiny, clear rubber band (try Goody Ouchless Mini Elastics; $5) and pin along your hairline. So easy!

Put a New Twist on the Pony
Give your everyday ponytail a bit more polish. Create a low ponytail, leaving out two equal sections, one on each side of your face. Twist each section so they look like ropes, then pull them back to your pony and anchor with a rubber band. Extra credit: Wrap a section of hair around the elastic.

Knot It
Literally. Instead of the usual wrap-around bun, create an edgy hair knot that only looks complicated. Split your hair into two equal sections, then tie them in a knot. Using the loose ends, create a second knot just underneath your first. Secure each knot with a couple of bobby pins, leaving the ends free.
