Hairstylist Takisha Sturdivant-Drew took the front section of Kerry Washington's hair (starting at the forehead, about two inches wide and two inches deep) and wrapped it around a medium-size Velcro roller. She then teased the hair behind the roller before gathering it all back into a ponytail and braiding the tail. Finally, she unraveled the roller and secured the section of hair to the top of the ponytail with a bobby pin to create the small bouffant in the front.
