Even the littlest members of your bridal party want to look their
best when they’re walking down the aisle. While her sweet dress and her
basket of flowers will certainly make your flower girl look too cute,
the perfect hairstyle will complete her look.
Not sure how she
should style her hair? Here are some sweet ideas that will make your
flower girl look and feel extra special on your wedding day.
A French Braid
A French braid
offers a traditional look that will make your flower girl look polished
and put together. Another benefit of this style is that it will keep
her hair out of her face, which as all girls know, can get pretty
frustrating.
To dress up a French braid and give it a little extra
pizzazz, a ribbon could be added into the braid and tied at the end of
it, or baby’s breath could be tucked into the braid.
Half-Up, Half-Down
This
is another standard hairstyle that would be super cute for a flower
girl to wear on a wedding day. One of the nicest things about the half-up, half down
hairstyle is that it doesn’t take a lot of time to achieve it, which
means your flower girl won’t be squirming around in a stylists chair.
To dress up this hairstyle and make it fancier, waves or ringlets
could be put into her hair. Another option would be to secure the style
with a decorative clip or a bow. You could also have your flower girl
wear a wreath of flowers on her crown to accent this style.
A Crown Braid
This style will give your little flower girl an ethereal look, and it will keep all of that hair up and out of her face. A crown braid is literally exactly what it sounds like: A braid that wraps around the head, creating the look of a crown.
This
style would look fancy enough on its own; however, you can punch it up
by inserting colorful daisies around the braid. Whether left plain or
dressed up, this style will make the flower girl feel super special.
A Front Braid
A simple braid at the front of the hair will give your flower girl just the right touch of whimsy. For this braid,
the hair is parted to one side and a single braid is created, starting
at the part and extending over the head. The braid can be secured with a
decorative clip or hair tie. Alternatively, creating two or three small
braids will make this style look even more whimsical.
A Bun
This
classic style is perfect for a flower girl. There are so many different
variations that she’ll be able to wear a style that suits the style of
your wedding with no problem.
For the super traditional look, have a simple bun
fashioned on the top of her head. For a twist on the traditional bun,
she could wear her hair in a low bun, or she could wear a bun of curls. A
braided bun or braids leading into the bun are also another fun twist
on this traditional style.
A Curly Pony
A ponytail is
always a playful hairstyle for a little girl. If you are choosing this
go-to style for your flower girl, how about having it made a little
fancier by having tiny curls or ringlets put into the pony. Other
options to dress up this style include wrapping a piece of hair around
the base of the pony, or tying a ribbon that corresponds with your
wedding colors around the base of the pony.
