This Disney-Inspired Wedding Is What Wedding Dreams Are Made Of

I'll admit it right off the bat. I am generally not a fan of themed weddings whatsoever. So when I caught wind of a Disney-inspired wedding that was supposedly magical, I had my doubts. But after scrolling through the couple's photographer, Degrees North Images' photos, I immediately bit my tongue. The young Texas-based couple managed to pull off a Disney wedding that was tasteful, subtle, and definitely not lacking in magical details. From the bride's dress, to the reception tables, to that cake, everything was completely spot-on. This gorgeous couple, ceremony, and reception have definitely changed my opinion of themed weddings, and if you are anything like me, I guarantee they'll change your opinion too.

I couldn't properly begin without showing you a photo of the stunning couple. The ceremony took place in the heart of Houston, Texas, where they were surrounded by an intimate group of family and friends.

Not only do I adore her chosen palette for bridesmaid dresses, but I also love how each one is slightly different. And by the way, the bride's dress is subtly Disney-themed! She bought the dreamy gown from the beautiful line, Alfred Angelo for Disney Weddings.

I think this is such a lovely idea. The couple created this rhyming sign, complete with Disney characters' photos, to request that guests keep their cell phones stored away to really focus on the ceremony and the couple.

Archway Details

In keeping with the whimsical nature of all things Disney, the ceremony's archway was constructed of intertwining branches dotted with tiny lights and butterflies.

The Rings

I know this shot doesn't have anything to do with Disney, but it felt like a crime to conceal their rings from you. I love how beautiful and antique-looking her ring is. And that glimmer! Sigh.

Head Table

The head table featured this recreation of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. Why, might you ask? The groom proposed to his bride at the foot of the Sleeping Beauty Castle in California's Disneyland. I love that they managed to incorporate this personal, romantic detail into their reception decor.

Cinderella Table

The bride spent tons of time collecting — and even making — many of the decorations for the guest tables at the reception. This Cinderella-themed centerpiece, complete with golden pumpkin carriage, is whimsical without being over the top.

Snow White Table

This Snow White–themed reception table is so simple, yet looks so gorgeous! I love how well the vibrant red apples stand out against the mossy green cloth.

Beauty And The Beast Table

She really went all out with this Beauty and the Beast reception table. The glass-encased rose is literally identical to the film version, and the Lumière figurine even lights up!

Little Mermaid Table

I'm absolutely in love with the netting draped across the center of the table, on top of which stands a dinglehopper candelabra! The little silver starfish is so pretty too.

I just had to include this close-up image of another Little Mermaid decoration, the snarfblat! The pearl and shell-encrusted pipe even has faux ocean plants sprouting out of it. This bride definitely wins the creativity award!

Guestbook

Instead of a traditional guestbook, the bride and groom had guests write their well-wishes on Disney postcards. I think this is such a unique spin on tradition, and the postcards were the perfect choice for keeping with the Disney theme.

I can't think of a more perfect wedding favor choice than these Alice In Wonderland-inspired "Take Me" candy jars. Nobody actually uses the typical candle and picture frame favors, but these candies definitely got gobbled up!

The Cake

When I learned that this was a Disney-inspired wedding, I automatically expected to see some sort of Cinderella-themed cake. The couple proved their creativity once again with these cake toppers, which are replicas of Carl and Ellie's chairs from the Disney Pixar movie, Up!

Happily Ever After

The lovely couple cut their cake to Lana Del Rey's version of "Once Upon A Dream," which appeared in Disney's Maleficent. The perfect song choice for a picture-perfect couple!
