For many, winter is a time to go dark with your clothing, your lipstick, and your hair. But for Bethenny Frankel, the drab, cold weather was a perfect excuse to brighten up her locks.

star showed up to the launch of SkinnyGirl Candy with a fun new look:
striking red hair. More specifically, a dazzling ruby-meets-magenta that
flatters her medium olive complexion.
"I wanted to do this and I thought today it would be a fun, whimsical thing to do," Frankel told E! Online.
"It matches the candy and I just kind of needed a pick me up to get
into a good mood." Hair that coordinates with your favorite treats? We
can't think of a better reason to go bright. And just look at how
incredibly radiant her hair looks when she steps out into the sunshine:

While it's a bit more
"raspberry" indoors, the sun makes it appear almost neon. But here's her
big secret: it's not her actual hair. Rather than wearing extensions or
coloring her hair bright red, she had a special wig designed by celebrity stylist Tokyo. If only we could all do that whenever the mood to switch up our hair strikes!
