Faking long nails has never been easier.

We've learned how to chisel our cheeks with bronzer and slim our feet
with foundation. Now, contouring your nails is the new beauty trick to
add to your radar. Yes, you read that correctly. Nail contouring is the
manicure trend that's buzzing all over Instagram. The technique can make
fingers appear slimmer and help nails look longer without the help of
acrylics.

"This is something I used to do when I was young," manicurist Jin Soon Choi explained to Cosmopolitan.
"When I was growing up, my friends and I wouldn't extend the color to
the sides of our nails to make our nails look more elongated."
Nail
contouring is really easy to pull off, and it's actually very similar
to the technique you'd use to contour your nose. To get the look, all
you have to do is place a dark color down the center of your nails
(that's like the contour shade). Then, make sure both sides are left
clear or painted with a lighter polish (think of this as your highlighter).
