There's no denying that lip art has taken some, well, unexpected turns this year. Forget a subtle ombre or the "popsicle pout" — these out-of-the-box looks, which run the gamut from marble-inspired to a Harry Potter-themed, give the makeup trend a whole new meaning. (Not to mention another beauty fad for us to obsess over on Instagram.) What's more, there's almost no material makeup artists won't try in the name of their artistry. If you don't believe us, just go check out the crushed metallic lip one MUA created from toilet paper. Albeit, using a little TP on your lips seems like nothing compared to what we're about to tell you.

Apprehensions aside, props to Jasmine for creating such cool, one-of-a-kind lip looks, and being brave enough to go where no lip artist has gone before (at least as far as we know.) Could there be other MUAs out there experimenting with plant life and insects on their lips? It's possible. We'll be keeping an eye out, that's for sure.
