Kat Von D's Shade and Light collection has something for everyone. Seriously — she knows how to do neutral right, and her palettes include neutral shadows from both ends of the spectrum that are sure to please. She also knows that some of us like to keep it matte and some of us like a bit of shimmer — and that's why she's created two separate palettes with basically the exact same layout, all 100 percent vegan.
[post_ads]While we'd previously only seen the shadows from the Glimmer collection nestled in their palettes, thanks to makeup artist Leah Carmichael, we finally have a glimpse at some swatches.Carmichael is a makeup artist at Kat Von D's makeup artistry collective, so she gets a chance to play with these goodies before us mortal folk. She posted a sneak peak on Instagram of the Shade and Light Glimmer palette swatches, saying, "I can't even tell you how fucking excited I am for you guys to get your hands on this!" Same, girl. She also confirmed they'll be available for purchase in July, which is absolutely perfect, because summer is the best time to shine.

Kat Von D's original Instagram announcing the palette also gave us some crucial info, including that the Glimmer palette will include the same neutral tones from the contour palette, only "reimagined in 4 wearable glimmer finishes, in different levels of intensity, to bring light-catching dimension to the eyes." Judging by the vibrant and highly pigmented swatches seen on Carmichael's arm, she absolutely delivered in this promise, and we can't wait to try.More from Kat Von D:
