You've probably not see spring fever hit anyone quite as much as this Redditor,
who seems to enjoy the season of rebirth so much that she created an
entire, unexpected makeup look around it — flower lashes, with real
flower petals on her lashes.
[post_ads]Now, before you let that inner
Miranda Priestly in your head strike this look down as a typical
spring-y gimmick, check out her "Pollinated" makeup look. She actually
does look like a flower, down to the yellow tone of her blush, which
looks like the pollen dust from a flower's stamen. She used Colourpop's Paper Tiger pressed powder eyeshadow and Kat Von D's Pastel Goth palette, specifically the yellow shade "Star," for her face. On her lips, she used a white liquid liner from NYX
to create pretty patterns of dots, almost like a tiger lily, and
finished off the look with those seriously statement-making lashes,
created with "flowers from my yard."
Are your allergies going into
overdrive? Ours too. According to the OP, she gathered flowers and
dipped the petals into lash glue before affixing them to her eyes. It
sounds a little risky, especially if springtime makes you
sneeze, but it is a lovely and unique look. (Of course, it probably
doesn't last too long, considering flowers wilt pretty fast.)

One
Redditor asked if she could see with the petals glued to her lashes, and
she confirmed that yes, the flowers didn't obscure her vision and they
were fairly durable as far as false lashes go. "I had to tug to get them
off," she said, and revealed that she wore the look for about 90
minutes before removing the petal lashes. If you're looking for a
springtime statement look, then perhaps it's time to take a trip to your
local greenhouse, you delicate flower, you.
