Considering how big the '90s have been lately,
it was only a matter of time before they started inspiring our
strands. Now, we've seen a lot of creative, out-of-the-box styles — from
rainbow "underlights" to wild coloring methods — but we can't stop talking about this new trend affectionately called the SunBun.

in London, the SunBun technique consists of segmenting pre-lightened
strands into little knots on the head, then applying colors directly to
each bun. The fewer sections there are, the fewer hues there are, but if
you want wildly multicolored hair, your stylist can create lots of
tiny knots and color each one differently. Check it out:
"While
it's much more effective to see the variation in tones and different
shades next to one another, so they can really pop, a softer look can
also be created for a more natural effect," Muldoon told Modern Salon. Here are the gorgeous results:
