You now have yet another amazing reason to use dry shampoo.

[post_ads]If you dye your hair regularly, chances are your stylist recommends a visit to the salon
for touchups every four to six weeks. But for most busy women, this
just isn't feasible. Well, it's a good thing there are a few quick DIY
tricks you can use if you have an important meeting, party, or family
get together coming up. Did we mention they're easy too?
1. Root Concealer
These
temporary color products allow women of all hair colors to touch up
their roots in a flash. Try an aerosol formula like Rita Hazan Root
Concealer for Gray Coverage ($25, Sephora)
in your respective shade for an "airbrushed" look. Spray it about four
to six inches away from your roots, then let it dry and style as usual.
2. Dry Shampoo
If you love dry shampoo
as much as we do, you probably have this hair staple in your bathroom
already. But did you know it's also amazing for covering up your roots?
Separate your hair into sections, then spritz a tinted dry shampoo like
Batiste Hint of Color Dry Shampoo ($8.99, Ulta)
along your roots. Lightly massage the dry shampoo into your hair, then
brush it through for a fresh, volumizing look that blends your regrowth
and dyed hair more seamlessly.
Note: Pale blondes should likely skip these formulas since many of them are more on the golden side and can look brassy on neutral- or cool-toned shades.
Unless you use a translucent version —even without the coloring
benefits, it lets you go longer between washes, so your color stays
fresh longer.
3. Hair Pens
What
are these, you ask? Well, they're essentially the beauty equivalent of a
Tide-to-Go Pen, covering up visible roots (or little trouble spots)
with just a bit of gel. For a natural-looking shade, apply a hair pen,
such as Colormark Color Mark ($21.95, Ulta), to your dry hair in short, feathery strokes.
4. Hair Makeup
Yes, there is makeup just for your hair!
If you want to use a formula that disguises your roots but has a little
more manual control than dry shampoo, try a powder hair makeup like
Tarte Amazonian Clay Volumizing Brow & Hair Powder ($25, Sephora) or Color Wow Root Cover Up ($34.50, Ulta).
Dip a medium-thick, angled powder brush into the formula, then sweep
the powder along your roots to fill in gaps and blend your regrowth and dyed hair.
Of course, if you can't get to the beauty store to pick up makeup especially for your hair, there's always the option in #5...

5. Eyeshadow
This isn't the most believable fix — especially for pale blondes — but it works as an ultra-quick fix in a pinch. Much like our instant hair thickening trick,
applying eyeshadow along your roots disguises your regrowth. It works
especially well for women with naturally light hair who dye their locks
darker, as applying the darker shades along your scalp help to disguise
the lighter roots.
