For the past few years,
celebrities and regular people alike have been heading to the salon (or
beauty supply store) to take on the bright hair color trend. But for some, an all-over unnatural shade is a little too intense.
[post_ads]Well if you've been reluctant thus far, there's a new trendy color technique
on the scene which combines the ombré dye pattern (transitioning
between two shades, typically from dark to light) with bright colors —
and it's called "colombré."
Celebrities have been wild about this style all summer long. Here are just a few examples, starting with Empire's Taraji P. Henson:

I tried this trend myself
(that's me at the top of this page) with both light-to-dark unnatural
shades and dark-to-light coloring, shown here:
Plus, the trend is all over the beauty sphere on Instagram.
[post_ads]If the idea of going bright still makes you hesitate, you can try this trend in a more subtle way by asking your stylist to use foilyage or another lightening technique, then dye it a strawberry blonde or deep red shade.
This look has more impact than basic ombre, but is still subtler than
