Spring might have sprung months ago, but we're still feeling the
floral fantasy. Makeup artists on Instagram have #blessed us with
several different ways to bring petals to our lids, lashes, and cheeks.
However, we're missing out on flower nail designs. To learn a new way
to do floral nail art, we enlisted New York-based manicurist Alicia Torello. (She recently showed us how to do this geometric look.)

In
the first video of our new Nailed It! video series, Torello will show
you how to create flower nail designs in eight super simple steps. As
for materials, you'll need a dotting tool, like these ones from Walmart, six different shades of nail polish, and a clear top coat. One of our faves is the Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, in case you need a new one.
The process starts with one color as your base. (We used a navy blue called Bobbing for Baubles from Essie.)
Then, you add polka dots in different colors to create easy petals. If
you don't have the patience (or time — we don't blame you), you could
try this nail art on just one of your nails. Not to be too cheesy, but maybe you could give yourself a green thumb.
