We welcome any trick to make a flawless cat eye more attainable. Scotch tape, cut-outs, resting your elbow against a wall — whatever will help create that perfect little flick of liquid liner. You know, so we don't wind up with an ever-thickening stripe of black that can't be erased with even the best remover.
Thankfully,
Toronto-based makeup artist Laiba Zaid posted an amazing tutorial on
how to use a rather unexpected tool to nail your liner: a fork! The
utensil braces the liner for a sharp cat eye and an angular brow, but that's not all.

She also works between the fork's tines to apply dark liner
on either side of her nose. It looks a little crazy until she
blends-blends-blends, creating an illusion that her nose is even
thinner.
Pretty cool, huh? If forks help with contouring and spoons are awesome for shrinking eye bags, maybe the humble butter knife has a double life we don't yet know about?
