It's easier than you think.

Of course you want to look
perfect on your wedding day. Duh. You've hired the best hair and makeup
pros money can buy (or your budget will allow). You've started your skin
care regimen and paid a visit to your dentist to perfect your smile.
That's all great. But there are still a few simple things you can do to
take your beauty look to the next level. So stop booking appointments
and pay attention to the DIY advice served up from our glam squad.
Don't do anything drastic.
It's easy to get caught up in the wedding hype and decide to go for a whole new you. Not so fast. "You want to look like a great version of yourself, not like a different person," says New York-based makeup artist Matthew Sky. So think twice before coloring your brown hair platinum blonde or breaking out the Botox. You don't want to look back at your wedding pictures and be like: "Who's that girl?"Make blotting sheets your BFF.
These oil-stopping sheets are the best way to keep your glow from getting greasy. Use them on the forehead, tip of the nose and chin—all areas that tend to gleam the most. "You can also use a finishing powder," says Sky. "It great for cutting down shine without looking cakey."Go for the bronze early on.
There's nothing wrong with wanting a golden beach radiance for your wedding. We get it. Just don't hit the self-tanner or sunbed right before the big day. "Always follow the three-day rule," advises Sky. "Have any tanning treatments done three days before the wedding. This way you allow the tanner to settle into your skin and avoid looking streaky or having it come off on your dress."Lash out.
Waterproof mascara is a must. This should be a no-brainer. Yet some brides opt for a regular formulation and end up regretting it when tears of joy muddle expertly applied makeup. And even if you're not a crier, humidity can still leave you with raccoon eyes. Don't be that girl. Opt for a volumizing or lengthening water resistant formula in jet black to make your eyes pop. Your makeup artist will have some on hand, but that doesn't mean you can't offer up your personal fave. Brands that get the best reviews include: Dior Diorshow Blackout Waterproof Mascara, Lancôme Hyponse Waterproof Custom Volume Mascara and Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Volumizing Mascara.
