Let’s face it: Culottes aren’t the easiest pants to wear, partly because they come with the reputation for being unflattering. The rules of proportion would tell us that you should pair their wide, roomy fit on bottom with something more fitted on top. But actually, it’s just the opposite with these cropped wide-leg bottoms. Avoid loose and billowy in favor of structured, chunky knits.
