Whether they’re a
deep sapphire or borderline gray, here are a few easy tricks for making
your baby blues look brighter, bolder and even more piercing than they
already are.

Try a Bronze Eye Shadow
Orange sits opposite blue on the color wheel so anything with an orange undertone (like bronze or copper) will provide a nice contrast and really make your eyes pop—especially with dramatic evening looks.
Or Tone It Down with a Taupe Shadow
It provides the perfect wash of color for everyday wear. (We’re partial to Urban Decay’s Midnight Rodeo eye shadow because it adds just the right amount definition and a hint of shimmer to the lids.)
Skip the Black Eyeliner
It can often look too harsh against pale eyes. Try a dark gray or navy liner instead. Both shades will frame your peepers nicely while subtly picking up the blue tones from your irises.
But Load on the Black Mascara
Whereas a jet-black line across the lids can overwhelm your eyes, a few coats of inky mascara
are exactly what you need to wake things up. Wiggle the wand close to
the base of your lashes to stamp some pigment into the roots.

Pair with a Bright Red Lip
As for the rest of the
face, one thing blue-eyed babies can always count on is a poppy pout.
Like we said before, oranges and reds provide the perfect contrast, so
for occasions when you really need to work it (dates, interviews,
professional photos), bust out the fire-engine red.
