The Half-Up Hairstyle
Renato Campora, hairstylist behind It-girls like Gal Gadot, Margot Robbie, Kate Winslet, and Mila Kunis, predicts the romantic half-up style will be everywhere this year.
He tells us, “it works great on all hair textures and face shapes and is the perfect complement to all gown silhouettes.” But what’s more, he says, “It’s an easy look for a red carpet
or wedding since the style is easy to maintain all night.” To add even
more romance to your everyday half-up style, Campora suggests adding
volume with the T3 BodyWaver ($149), framing the face with a few tendrils and playing it up with sparkly accessories.

The
lady behind Hollywood’s A-list like Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock,
Drew Barrymore, and Cameron Diaz, Lona Vigi predicts a resurgence in wedding-day braids
in 2018. “Braids are still very popular for brides and can be a
romantic, soft and pretty hairstyle that looks just as amazing in photos
as it does in person.”

Her suggestion however
is to “modify each look according to your face shape and hair type.”

Potempa knows a thing or two about making a woman look and feel her
best for her moment in the spotlight. The brain behind the manes of Lea
Michele, Camila Cabello, and Reese Witherspoon, Potempa suggests getting more out of your wedding-day hairstyle.
Whether
you wear your hair down or half-up, she suggests switching things up
before the reception. “Before the party portion, step aside and take all
of the hair to one side, create one big thick braid, and twist it into a
gorgeous low chignon.”
A wardrobe change might not always be an option, but switching your
hair is the perfect way to transition into the evening without spending a
fortune.

Lavoy, Pro Beauty Tools ambassador and hair guru behind the locks of
Miranda Lambert, Jordana Brewster, and Kristin Cavallari, advises you
choose a style that stands the test of time instead of trying something
too trendy. Lavoy predicts brides in 2018 will choose classic styles
that are totally timeless. “This will insure that you'll never have
regrets thumbing through your wedding photos,” he says.
Not sure which vintage look to recreate? He adds, “A perfect example of timeless wedding hair is Grace Kelly. Her wedding hair and gorgeous veil are still beautiful after so many decades.”

An Update On Your Go-To

Co-founder of über-cool haircare brand R+Co Garren, who has also worked with Kim Kardashian,
Kendall Jenner, and Hannah Bronfman, has had his share of experience
working with brides. His tip for anybody getting ready to walk down the aisle is to choose a hairstyle that you feel comfortable in.
He
says, “if the bride always wears her hair down, then she should wear it
down. If your groom loves your hair down, then give him that.” However,
it’s important you think of the elements. "If you’re having an outside
wedding, you need to make sure your hair is controlled," Garren
explains, "especially considering humidity and the wind." Consult with
your stylist beforehand and go over every detail: Changes in weather,
whether you will be wearing extensions, if you want to try a veil, etc.
