Accent Nails
This look is for those who are still iffy about, well, nail art: it's neutral, barely there, and only on two fingers. Keep the base of the nails neutral and add a blink-and-you'll-miss-it embellishment to just your pointers.
Keep the rest of your mani neutral (like the soft pink shown here), then paint on a pop of something bright on your ring finger. Bonus points for matching it to your makeup.
Dark Nail Shades
Picture your favorite dark blue polish. Now picture it even darker, and you've got this inky midnight shade at Self-Portait. If you frequently wear black polish in the colder months, try this twist instead.
The perfect fall accessory? This deeply saturated forest green shade from the 3.1 Phillip Lim show. Top it with a high-gloss clear lacquer for a super shiny finish like this.
Bejeweled Digits
Who says nail art stops at your cuticle? Complement your negative space mani by gluing (eyelash glue works like a charm) a stud by each knuckle, as demonstrated at the Bibhu Mohapatra show.
This look from Creatures of Comfort is worthy of a velvet box. It's like your dream engagement rock glued to each and every finger. Prep each nail with a solid black base to make your jewels really pop.
Pretty Prints
Forget cheetah shoes and/or bags, this season's hottest animal print is right at your fingertips. You can thank Jeremy Scott and Miss Pop Nails.
Try a classic red, but make it modern with a black checkered pattern. Or try a timeless light pink base and add an abstract wavy red line.
Chic Tips
Tanya Taylor proves that a French mani can be modern. Just swap out the pink and white duo for something a little more punchy, like this deep wine and white combo.
For another take on the French mani, use glitter on your tips instead of white polish.
Metallic Moves
For a super simple chrome look, try a press-on version, like the nails seen at Naeem Khan.
Try a metallic ruby, like this mani from the Marc Jacobs show. Manicurist Jin Soon loved how the deep jewel tones contrasted against each models' skin, while also casting a glow.
