To help you lovely brides we’ve spoken to make-up expert, Bobbi Brown to find out the ultimate wedding day make-up hacks to make your face stay put.
Pick your products
Before you start, experiment with different products to find out what works for you. “Pick a long-wearing formulas that don’t crease, fade or run; look for key phrases like ‘long-lasting’, ‘all-day’, ‘12-hour wear’ and anything water-resistant or waterproof," explains Bobbi.

“Next, prep the skin for staying power,” says Bobbi. Nothing helps make-up slip off the face like oils and creams so don’t be seduced by too much moisturiser. “Leave facial oils, rich eye cream and slippery serums on the shelf. A simple, fast-absorbing moisturiser is all you need.”
It’s all about the base
You probably won’t have time for make-up reapplications on the day so setting your make-up is key. ”Set concealer and foundation with sheer loose powder so it stays put and fends off shine.”
Layer up
Finally, the most important step is to gradually layer all your make-up. “Be sure to layer your blushes and eye shadows,” explains Bobbi. “By building colour, you’ll get a more blended look that lasts.”
