Follow this hair care regime to keep your hair looking gorgeous this summer:
Use cool water to wash your hair.

The high humidity of summer fades away your hair's natural shine. So don't wash your hair in hot water, not even lukewarm water. Washing your hair with hot water can damage it more. Instead, use cool water to wash your hair, but certainly not ice cold. This practice will preserve your hair's natural oils, which make it shiny and less frizzy.
It's better to shampoo sparingly.

Summer temperatures rob hair of its natural moisture. During this time, daily shampooing can seriously dry out your hair. As a result, split ends appear. Rather, shampoo every two to three days. Also, ensure your shampoo doesn't contain sulfates. Sulfates strip away too much moisture from hair, leaving it dry and lifeless.
Use a good-quality conditioner.

Apply conditioner to your hair after shampooing. Make sure that the hair conditioner is of good quality. Apply generously from mid-length to the tips, avoiding the roots of your hair. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing off. Conditioners leave the hair soft and smooth while retaining the hair's natural moisture.
Apply hydrating hair masks once a week.

Apply hydrating hair masks once a week to freshly washed, damp hair. It will not absorb correctly on dry hair or soaking wet hair. After applying, leave it for 15-20 minutes and rinse it off. Try to find masks infused with natural oils like coconut or argan. Hydrating hair masks restore your hair's natural shine and softness.
Avoid hair styling products.

Hair styling products are harmful to your scalp's health. We sweat a lot in hot weather, and excessive use of hair styling products can cause buildup on the hair and scalp, which won't wash off entirely with shampoo. These eventually stash on the scalp and form dandruff. Summer has a laid-back vibe, so avoiding hair styling products isn't that hard. Choose hairstyles that will allow sufficient air circulation to your hair and scalp. This can reduce hair fall and dandruff buildup.
Air-dry the hair.

Blow dryers roughen up our hair. Do not use heating tools in the summer to dry your hair. Instead, air-dry your hair. It saves a lot of time and protects your hair from heat damage. After washing your hair, squeeze out excess water with a towel, then air dry. If you can't avoid heating tools, use a heat-protectant spray beforehand.

UV rays damage our hair and scalp. So, apply a high-SPF sunscreen to dry hair and scalp before going outside. Hair sunscreens come in spray, powder, cream, and lotion formulas. Use any type at your convenience. Also, don't forget to take a hat and scarf!
Rub dry shampoo for instant bounciness.

Dry shampoo is very effective in removing excess oil from hair. Rub the dry shampoo into your scalp and roots until it blends into your hair. Some dry shampoos can stick to your hair even after you rub them in. If so, use a brush to spread the shampoo through your hair and wipe out any extra shampoo. This can restore bounciness to your hair.
Spray refreshing hair mists.

Hair mist removes sweat odors from your hair and makes your hair smell better. The essential oils in the hair mist reduce frizz and add shine. It adds a rejuvenating feel to the scorching summer days.
Hydrate and eat right.
