We love Janelle Monáe's major braid. But it's her hair hoops that have us totally inspired. The effect works best with any type of cornrow or Dutch braid (a.k.a. an inside-out braid, where you weave the sections under each other rather than over). As for the tiny metal hoops, you can either pick up fake earrings at a place like Spencer's, or buy a bag of wire hoops at any craft store. Simply pull them apart, arrange them down the length of your braid as you please, and squeeze them together to secure.
