This is, of course, different for everyone since our minds and bodies are individually unique, but I personally can attest to saying that by implementing a little bit of structure, especially in the mornings, is so vital for your overall health and beauty.
Morning routines are an amazing way to get your day started.
Again, everyone is different in what may or may not work for you, but these tips are a fantastic way to getting a healthy start for just about anyone.
[post_ads]The first and most important step to achieving a morning routine is to get enough sleep, I cannot stress that enough. Not only will it give you the full boost of energy you need, but no one enjoys looking tired each day. Besides the mental toll it takes on us, our skin pays for this big time. We are more prone to breakouts and we lose that awesome natural glow we get when we are fully rested compared to when we are not.
An important lesson I learned about my body is that it’s better to take my time and to not rush constantly. With that being said, I love waking up to natural light and taking some time for myself before I face the world.
I do that with meditation. I stated in one of my blog posts that, “Meditation is like magic. It relaxes you and calms your mind”. It is a state where you can fully and deeply connect with yourself, one where you can set yourself up for greatness in the moments of silence. I highly recommend doing this, not only in mornings, but for a few minutes throughout the day to help you reconnect and distress.
Starting your day with this mindful habit is a surefire-way to help give you positive energy and mental clarity to face whatever you have coming your way. Remember, inner peace brings outer beauty.

Get Moving
Exercise is key for mental and physical health, if your body is feeling up to it, of course. Sometimes when people think of fitness and exercise they think long hours at the gym, heavy weights and lots of sweat and stress on your body. As that might be ideal for some, that isn’t for a lot of us. Hello, if I had done that when my body was in distress, I would have for sure been down and out even more than I already was. No, exercise can be what you make it. I personally love going for walks around Manhattan, especially first thing in the morning, to really wake my body up and get the juices flowing. Some mornings I’ll opt to do some gentle yoga and, if I have a ton of energy, I may even try a mix of yoga and pilates. Exercising is great for helping to release body inflammation, it’s awesome for your skin and hair, reduces cellulite, provides energy and helps to detox and balance out your body from any toxins you may have within you.

Eat a Healthy, Organic Breakfast
I LOVE cooking. That alone can be a state of meditation for me. Cooking up healthy foods is my art and whipping up a fabulous breakfast first thing in the morning is like a piece of heaven for me. Your body needs fuel to kick-start its day and what better way to do that than by consuming raw, clean organic yumminess into your system? Too many Americans constantly feel tired and run down on top of feeling bloated and looking puffy each day.. well it’s because they aren’t eating properly. What we eat takes full effect on our gut and ends up showing in our behavior and in our appearance. It is so important to start your day out right and for people who may think they don’t really have time to make breakfast, I say plan ahead and make the time. For those of you that are aren’t into traditional breakfast options, check out some of these unique breakfast ideas.

Make a To-Do List

Make a To-Do List
To have a successful and stress-free day, create a to-do list of everything you need/want to get done. Having a visual in front of you helps to free your mind and not be in constant overload. This is also a great way to build confidence in yourself when you know what you have to face and how to face it head on. Anyway to help remove stress from your life is so important since it is such a hormonal trigger that is set off within us; this can lead to nasty breakouts, sore and swollen joints and muscles, hair loss and a weakened immune system.. no thank you!
