Could Your Face Wash Be Dangerous?

Quite lately it was revealed, that washing face may sometimes threaten our lives! The matter is that FDA has found two ingredients, which are usually used in many washing products and may cause serious problems with face skin.

FDA has received more than 130 reports with information about negative reactions of those products for more than 40 years. The affected had such symptoms as low blood pressure, shortness of breath, throat tightness, fainting or even collapse. Sometimes people suffered from aches even in those parts of bodies, where the products hadn’t been applied. Though till now there has been no death within the affected people, but they were all hospitalized. Otherwise, they could even not escape the irrevocable! In general bad reactions were noticed within a day since applying those products.

FDA reports, that such kind of products, which contain salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, include warnings about possible allergic reactions or irritation of skin. But they have no warnings of the seriousness of such reactions! Besides one must be aware how to act if reactions occur.

Though the cases of serious allergic reactions are quite rare, they exist! And if one is a “target” for allergy, he should avoid these products for safety. You can check your medicine cabinet and if you find at least one product with these two ingredients, that you have been using for some period of time but haven’t yet observed any negative reaction, so go on using them! But at the same time, if you have noticed any allergic reactions the reason of which you don’t know, they may as well be occurred by these two “evil” ingredients! So stop using that product to avoid the worse!
