We've all heard about
brides and grooms who believe their weddings should be the number one
priority in the lives of their families, friends and even coworkers — but this bride telling a close friend to totally alter her appearance takes the word "bridezilla" to the next level.
A user on the relationships Reddit board posted about the dilemma
she's currently facing after receiving an email from the bride. "[The
email] seemed pretty standard but then when she got into the look she
wants for her bridesmaids she wrote, '[Name], you'll need to dye your
hair for the day, I'll take you to my hairdresser and cover the cost
:),'" writes the Redditor, who notes that this possibility had not
previously been mentioned to her. "I'm a natural ginger, so it's not
like I have an outrageous hair colour, although [the bride] and her
other bridesmaids are all brunettes."

When the poster informed the bride that she would not be comfortable with coloring her hair,
the bride argued that her red locks would "clash with the wedding
colours and that brides get a veto over pretty much every aspect of her
bridesmaids' appearances." Oh, and that her natural hair color was too
"attention-grabbing" and would make the group look less cohesive. Yikes.
While
she's clearly not okay with coloring her hair, the poster asked the
Reddit group whether or not she should just do it — and that other
bridesmaids have been pressuring her to give into the bride's demands.
The
response from fellow Reddit users has been generally supportive of the
poster not coloring her hair — especially when you consider that such a
big change may actually get the bridesmaid more
attention on the day of the wedding. Hopefully, this high-maintenance
bride (and her enabling bridesmaids) will notice all the outraged buzz
surrounding this poor woman's dilemma and opt to put a hold on her hair color commands.
