After months of patiently waiting to find out when we'll be able to add the upcoming Kat Von D Shade + Light Glimmer Palette, we finally have some official details. First of all, you can mark your calendar for July. Kat Von D announced on its social media accounts that the new palette will be released that month. Also, we got a closer look at it. There's no need to start and stop a YouTube video to spot it. In the Instagram post below, you can see it in all its glory.
[post_ads]As expected, the Kat Von D Shade + Light Glimmer Palette has the same layout as the other Shade + Light palettes, and it is 100 percent vegan. Plus, the myriad of neutral shades is basically identical to the Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette. The only difference is they look like someone dumped highlighter into them. We haven't seen swatches of the shimmery hues yet, but they look like they would have a foiled finish. We'll just have to keep waiting to see what the shadows look like on different skin tones. In the meantime, try not to drool too much over this.
When the official Kat Von D Beauty YouTube channel launched last week, the thought that the videos could include sneak peeks foolishly never crossed our minds. However, the Kat Von D Shade + Light Glimmer Palette could be seen in all its glory in the channel's latest upload. Obviously, we were shocked.

In a video titled "SAINT + SINNER photoshoot BEHIND THE SCENES w KAT VON D," the new palette makes a brief appearance. The addition to the cult-favorite Shade+Light was first announced in the incredibly long Instagram caption Kat Von D posted back in January. (The same one that revealed lip liners are on their way, too.) Since then, we've been trying to imagine what it would look like. TBH it's pretty damn close to the neutral shimmery shadows we pictured. The new palette seems to have the same exact shades as the all-matte Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette—just flecked with glitter.
The Kat Von D Shade + Light Glimmer Palette can be viewed in all its glory at the 10 second mark of the new YouTube video. One of the makeup artists in the new Kat Von D Artistry Collective, Leah Carmichael, is seen using it on the tattoo artist behind the brand. The contrast of light and dark shades came in handy for the campaign photo shoot for the upcoming Saint + Sinner collection, which includes the palette and new perfumes. KVD fans have been anticipating the relaunch of the Saint and Sinner perfumes since July 2016. (They originally debuted in 2009.) The brand-new bottles are shown in the video, too. Carmichael created a look to coordinate with the white and black bottles and Von D even slipped on a blonde wig for the occasion.

The release date for the Saint + Sinner collection hasn't been announced yet, but we'll be sure to keep you updated. In the meantime, you can check out both of the sneak peeks in the video below.
What's not seen in the video is the Saint + Sinner candles that Von D has up her sleeve, too. She posted a sketch of the design that will be on the glass on Instagram last night. We sure have a lot to look forward to.
