Hi, my name is Sarah, and I have super-oily hair. It's not a problem really, it's more of nuisance, because when I don't wash my hair every 24 hours, sweat, oil, and whatever products I've cocktailed into my hair begin to build up, leaving me looking more greasy than zhuzh-ed. Luckily, there's a fix for that. (You know, other than my BFF dry shampoo. Just not this one.)
[post_ads]To combat mid-day sheen and oily scalp syndrome, we've created a quickie, at-home treatment — using ingredients found in your pantry — to sop up your strands' sebum and dirt in a pinch. Here's what you'll need: One tablespoon of cornstarch, one teaspoon of isopropyl alcohol, a half cup of water, and a small, empty bottle with a spray nozzle top.
Once you've gathered all of your ingredients for your soon-to-be DIY dry shampoo, pour them all in the empty bottle and then give it a good shimmy and shake. After the mixture is thoroughly blended, start spritzing it into slick areas — the cornstarch will act as an vacuum to sop up excess oil and mattify shininess. Cool, right?

And if you have dandruff, which, in case you didn't know is actually a form of eczema that causes scalp irritation and leads to the skin shedding the affected cells, we've also got another at-home solution that requires little to no heavy lifting. To find out more, catch the full clip above, which features the anti-dandruff hack and more.
