We're not afraid to try a new makeup trend in the Allure office. We've tried copper eyeshadow, dot eyeliner, and even glitter tears. So when I heard green eye makeup was the latest Instagram beauty trend, especially emerald as Popsugar points out, I couldn't decide if the look sounded chic beauty blogger or just Wizard of Oz. It turns out, it's the former. While scrolling through Instagram, I was pleasantly surprised at how decidedly pretty it is — on seriously all skin tones.
If you're also a little unsure of trying the green eye makeup trend, know that it's all about the hue you choose. If you're on the paler side, pick a darker, more emerald color, like NYX Hot Singles Eyeshadow in Kush. If you have darker skin, bright shades look absolutely beautiful.
