South Sudanese model Nyakim Gatwech, also known as the Queen of the Dark, is taking the fashion world by storm while challenging stereotypes about skin color and conventional beauty through her Instagram posts, magazine covers and photo shoots alike.

The model has since become a voice of encouragement for the Black community
She is currently followed by 200,000 Instagram users and has appeared on various magazine covers
The 24-year-old was born in South Sudan but currently lives in Minneapolis
