While
we've had to break up with a few of our favorite middle school trends —
we're looking at you, goopy lip glosses — a glam, glittery eye
certainly isn't one of them. After all, sparkly makeup shouldn't just be
for eighth-grade dances. When done right, a little shimmer can add a
romantic twist to any look — even for those of us well beyond
the days of homeroom and recess. And since a true classic never dies, we
put together the following six ways to boldly rock a little glitter
like an adult. Just because you have to pay rent doesn't mean you don't
still want to shine.

Use
the following looks as an excuse to get extra glittery — whether you're
doing the whole lid, just a swipe of liner, or accentuating your brows.
Find out how to get your glow on, ahead.
We're
starting off with three extra sparkly looks — in case you were worried
we'd reached peak gold makeup fever. We'll demo a full-body glitter
technique, a starry brow, and a metallic eyeshadow technique perfect for
any cozy fall occasion.
Body Glitter:
Star Brows:
Step 2. Place stars on brush and gently press onto brow.
Step 3. Apply nude glossy lip.
Products Used: Mac highlighter (lips), Cosmetic-grade star glitter (brows)

Metallic Eyeshadow:
Step 2. Use a kohliner pencil to line eye.
Step 3. Go over with a liquid liner and smudge it to intensify the black.
Step 4. Apply highlighter to finish the look.
Products Used:
MAC Haute & Naughty Too Black Lash, NARS kohliner, MAC blacktrack pro longwear fluidline, DIOR Golden Shock highlighter, Mehron gold paintGet Sparkler-Worthy Eyeshadow
Step 2. Using an eyeliner brush, trace lash glue (we used Duo) onto lids where you want to place the sequins.
Step 3. Grab an eyeshadow brush and gently dab sequins on top of the glue. Once you're done, try not to move or touch your eyes until the glue dries. (A good rule of thumb is 30 seconds.)

Swipe On A Starry Eyeliner
Step 2. Carefully place alternating gold and silver stars (you can find these are your local makeup supply store or craft store) directly onto the glue. Pro Tip: Slightly wet the end of a makeup brush and use the pointed tip to help apply the stars easily.
Step 3. Allow your starry liner to dry for a few minutes and finish off the look with a few coats of mascara.
Go For The Gold
Step 2. Apply a balm to lids (we like this one) to give the glitter something to grab. Pro Tip: For extra longevity, use eyelash glue.
Step 3. Using your fingers or a flat brush to dab on chunky gold glitter to your lids as desired.
