Kristen Stewart

While a buzzcut may seem extreme, it's a great idea if your hair has been over-dyed and over-processed — Katy Perry buzzed her own bleached strands earlier this year for that exact reason. But the cut itself is entirely liberating — no styling products necessary.

Jennifer Lopez

If you're looking to keep your length for fall, celebrity hairstylist Michael Duenas suggests cutting long layers, with some pieces slightly shorter around the face. "Long layers will ensure your ends look full no matter what style you do," he says.

Cara Delevingne

Although Cara started the year with a buzz like Kristen (though her cut was for a movie role), she's graduated to an avant-garde color, doubling down with a cool new haircut to match. Her sleek bob, cut on a deep part, provides length in the front while keeping the rest of the ends blunt.

Yara Sharidi

"I love this shape for natural hair.  It can be very versatile when blown straight or worn naturally," Duenas says. "Round layers help to alleviate the triangle shape, while boosting volume. It can also be compressed and still have a gorgeous look and feel." He likes setting curls with Ouidad Curl Immersion Silky Soufflé Setting Crème ($28; ouidad.com).

Jennifer Garner

Long, wavy hair like Jennifer's is a cinch to style and maintain. To get the look, ask your stylist to softly razor in some layers — that's it. If you have naturally wavy texture, let hair air-dry using a styling cream like L'Oreal Air Dry It Undone Styling Cream ($4.99; lorealparisusa.com); if you've got straight hair, work a single-pass curling wand around one-inch sections of hair (a bit haphazardly, too!) for a perfectly undone look.

Penelope Cruz

Penelope's long lob is precisely layered, with face-framing pieces cut to highlight her bone structure and, of course, that beautiful mug. Style long layers like these with a texturizing spray such as IGK Down and Out Dirty Spray ($29; sephora.com), suggests Duenas, which adds a bit of rock 'n' roll and a good amount of hold, too.

Rose Byrne

Despite the classic center part, Duenas is all about this messy-chic look for medium-length strands. "Hair should be almost one length, but with a slight graduation at the bottom," he says. "This lets you [get a ton of] volume without the ends" looking scraggy. Bonus? "You can easily put your hair up and have a clean look, or have face-framing layers fall and cascade around your face."

Gal Gadot

Wonder Woman may be saving the world at the moment, but her hair is nothing short of #goals. Her cut itself is similar to Byrne's, but because of the off-center part, ends are a bit messier on purpose for a beachy vibe. Try using a sea-salt infused product, like Verb Sea Texture Cream ($14; verbproducts.com), which adds that just-stepped-out-of-the-ocean wave while still giving hair shine.

Kerry Washington

Blunt bangs + blunt bob = absolute perfection. Kerry's long fringe, which touches her brows, is a soft juxtaposition to her blunt-cut bob. To get strands as glossy as hers, use a shine serum, such as Beautiful Life Unicorn's Mane Smoothing Serum ($12; ulta.com), to seal the hair cuticle after styling.
