"A touch of highlighter gives you such natural radiance, you hardly need any other makeup," says Mally Roncal. "Once women try it, they never want to go without it." Her technique is beyond easy and supersubtle.
Highlighter is like an espresso shot for your skin: It wakes up your entire face so you look youthful and healthy.
That's why I wear it every day! But you have to be strategic with the
placement and pair it with a little concealer — otherwise, it's too
obvious. Our model, Julia, told me, "Bronzer
just comes off as muddy on my skin tone, so I'd like a subtler way to
brighten up." I showed her the key points to highlight — see how
fresh-faced she looks?

To balance out highlighter so it
looks realistic, use a concealer one shade lighter than your skin to
cover shadowy areas around your eyes. Swipe it on as shown here; pat
with your finger to blend.
Choose a cream or powder highlighter
with a soft pearl (not sparkly) finish. Try a silvery shade on fair
skin, champagne for olive skin, or gold on dark skin. With either your
finger or a brush, apply it on your lids and up to your brow bones.
