It is a truth universally acknowledged that most people don't wash their makeup brushes enough — but thanks to this amazing hack from Reddit, whenever you do
finally get around to doing it (and you should probably go do it now),
you'll never have to worry about how you dry them ever again.

In a recent post in the /r/MakeupAddiction subreddit, user hey_im_allison revealed the brilliant way she dries her brushes
after giving them a good cleaning, and not only will it prolong the
life of your favorite makeup tools, but it also looks pretty fun to put
together. Sharing a photo of her setup, the redditor explained she uses
"hair ties to fasten [her] brushes
to a bar for quick drying." Taking things to the next level, she also
adds a fan underneath just to further speed things up — but as other
redditors pointed out, this last step isn't necessary.
A couple of commenters were quick to agree that this technique is the best way to dry your brushes in a timely, hygienic manner. Plus, as Allure points out, it helps prevent erosion on your makeup brushes' handles.

"While
I'm washing them, I set them down on a towel while I finish washing the
others, then I take the time to hang them!" hey_im_allison explains.
Redditor
sables1 adds "I give mine several good shakes in the shower to expel
excess water before hanging them up. They never drip."
Genius!
