1. Shield Your Skin
Even
if it's cloudy outside, that doesn't mean your skin is safe from UV
rays. Make sure to apply a light-weight sunscreen lotion before you step
out, and avoid using oil-based products as they tend to block the pores
and can lead to acne.
2. Take the Right Diet
Even
if you're using the best creams, serums or face masks, there's no
substitute for a nutritious diet to get that glowing skin. Add Vitamin A
and Vitamin C rich foods in your diet including red bell peppers,
pineapples, broccoli, pumpkins, tomatoes and berries, and you'll start
noticing the difference within a few weeks.
3. Cleanse the Skin
Switch
to a non-soapy face wash and clean your skin three times a day to let
your skin breathe. It's not a bad idea to get drenched in rain and have
fun, but make sure to wash your face afterwards and stay away from
bacterial and fungal infections.

If you've a normal skin
type, make a smooth paste of a tablespoon of oats, rosewater and half
spoon honey. Massage it for about ten minutes, and wash it off with cold
water...say hello to clean, glowing skin.
For those with oily skin, mix half tablespoon of lime juice, a tablespoon of sugar granules along with one tablespoon of milk powder or fuller's earth. Apply it for ten minutes before washing off.
And while we're on oily skin, lets not forget turmeric. Mix half tablespoon
of turmeric with one tablespoon of honey and apply it on your wet skin
for five minutes. Rinse it off with water and then, rub your skin gently
with ice. Voila! You're set to flaunt your natural, glowing skin.
And, if have a combination or T-zone skin, mix
one tablespoon each of fine sugar (fine granules) and oats with water.
Scrub your face, concentrating on the nose (T-zone) and the cheeks.
Rinse it off gently after 10-12 minutes, and finish the procedure by
dabbing your skin with rose water and oil-free moisturiser.

5. Don't Forget Fluids
Keep
yourself hydrated with fresh fruit juices and aim to sip at least 2.5 -
3 litres of water everyday. Plus, a cup of green tea on a daily basis
can do wonders to your skin. It's loaded with anti-oxidants, and
minerals including, folate, manganese, potassium, magnesium...to name a
few.
