8 Trendy Hairstyles for Winter That Everyone's Already Wearing

From fierce pixies to sexy, platinum strands, you're about to have the coolest hair out there.

Flirting with the idea of reinventing your hairstyle this winter? Luckily, celebrity hairstylist and Glamsquad's creative director Giovanni Vaccaro has been seeing certain trends over and over that would suggest they’re the go-to looks. Should you want to recreate any of them, his winter trend forecast is as follows:

1

 Bold Pixie

One of the cooler, edgier cuts for fall, a pixie — even with its super-short crop — has versatility. It can be worn swept to the side, like Zoë Kravitz's, with your bangs lightly grazing your forehead.

Regardless of the way you want to wear your pixie, use a pliable formula with hold to keep it in place.

2

Long, Wavy Hair

Winter is coming, hence the long, Khalessi-like hair Kim Kardashian is sporting here. Just make sure to keep it hydrated with a hair mask, so it doesn't look (or feel!) dry.

Face-Framing Pieces

A post shared by Ciara (@ciara) on

Every woman has asked her stylist this question: "Should I get bangs?" If you're contemplating making the cut, go for it, but ease into the trend with a longer face-framing pieces, like Ciara's, to make sure you like the look first. "Bangs, when cut well, can provide great symmetry for the face," Vaccaro says. "I love a fringe that is kept a little longer, since it comes off more noncommittal and not so high-maintenance."

Shoulder-Grazing Strands

A blunt bob — the cut of summer and fall — is set to spill right over into winter because, well, it's chic AF and is the best accessory to any new outfit you pick up at Zara. To keep yours looking flyaway-free, run a straightener over it to smooth down the cuticle.

Cool-Girl Curls

Play up your natural texture or create your own this winter — Vaccaro likes using a lightweight gel-like formula and a small 1/2- to 3/4-inch barrel curling iron — for easy-going, sexy curls.

Half-Up Hair

A post shared by Beyoncé (@beyonce) on

Can't decide between wearing your hair up or down, split the difference and sweep the top hair up into a ponytail, leaving the lower half down (and curled, if you want!), like Beyoncé's.

Sleek, Low Pony

While it seems like such a simple style, "there's nothing more powerful than a sleek ponytail," Vaccaro says. "But product selection is so important. I love using an oil or serum, pomade, and a strong hair spray on hair that's been washed the day before for the best hold."

A Sexy Hair Flip

A post shared by Kendall (@kendalljenner) on

The easiest way to sky-high volume and a quick, sexy style? The hair flip. Take a page out of Kendall Jenner's book and achieve instant height by simply flipping your hair from one side to the other. "Before you flip your hair though, add some grit to it with a styling powder to keep your style in place," he adds.
