As you begin updating your wardrobe for fall, don’t forget about your beauty routine! When the temperatures start to cool down, there a certain changes I make to my skincare and makeup regimen.
Exfoliate & Moisturize

When fall comes around, it’s common for your skin & lips to start feeling dry. In order to counteract that, make sure to exfoliate and moisturize. For your face & body, you can use exfoliating scrubs and heavier moisturizers. And don’t forget about your lips! My lips get particularly dry in the fall & winter so I make sure to exfoliate them with a sugar scrub and use Burt’s Bees lip balm for moisture. And now that their classic lip balm comes in Pumpkin Spice, I am alllll over it for fall! Make sure to snag some for yourself exclusively at Target in store or online right here.
Play with dark nail polish
I always get excited to break out my darker nail polish colors come fall. Navy is one of my favorite shades this year, along with deep berry reds. Though not very dark, I’m also loving greige as an alternative to my go-to white nails.
Try Shades of Browns, Oranges, and Reds
Incorporate fall shades into your makeup routine with bronze eyeshadows, orange-hued blush, and deep red or even brown lipsticks. I’m particularly loving tan and brown lip colors for fall. They’re easy to wear because they’re neutral but the deeper shade makes a statement.

Switch out your foundation shade
You most likely got a little bit of color over the summer, whether you were trying or not, so don’t forget to update your shade of foundation for fall. I typically have 2-3 shades of foundation on hand, one for when I’m super tan during summer, one for when I’m ridiculously pale in winter, and one that falls in between.
