The Hottest New Spa Trends Every 2018 Bride Needs to Know About

And we're not just talking about getting in those once-a-month facials starting six months before the ceremony.

Look and feel your best on your big day with the help of these exciting new treatments.

A pre-wedding resolution you'll actually want to stick to? Hitting the spa on the regular. And we're not just talking about getting in those once-a-month facials (although, we love those, too!) starting six months before the ceremony. With a whole new roster of trending and cutting-edge beauty treatments, booking spa time is no longer just about pre-wedding indulgence or pampering—it's about taking the time to prioritize wellness, both for the big day and beyond.
To learn about the latest innovations in the spa universe, we tapped Vanessa Viadero, Assistant Director of Marketing & Public Relations, at the renowned âme Spa & Wellness Collective at Turnberry Isle Miami. She shared the spa trends and treatments everyone (not just brides!) should put on their radar. Whether you're a newbie or seasoned regular, here's everything you need to know about the latest and greatest beauty and wellness options on the spa menu.

Brides are seeking out treatments that focus on wellness—not just beauty.

Which is why many young women don't see view these treatments as "treats," but as necessities. "Millennials feel that it is their right to take care of their bodies, their skin, and their overall mind/body health," said Viadero. Part of that means seeking therapies—like salt bath float chambers and lymphatic drainage—that provide mental relief from the "constant barrage of texts, notifications, and news alerts" and help in restoring that mind-body connection.

Expect to see more specialized, tech-based treatments.

According to Viadero, spas will continue to use technology to improve the individual's specific concerns, like insomnia, anti-aging, and pain. Having trouble sleeping in the months before your wedding? At Gharieni Group, âme Spa and Wellness Collective's equipment partner, "Super Nap" therapy utilizes computerized massage tables and movement-controlled music to facilitate to deep sleeve, helping to reset poor sleep patterns. Also noteworthy? Quartz-salt massages, which use negative ions to cleanse and detox the lungs, and radio frequency skin tightening, which utilizes radio waves to boost collagen production.

Brides want to be able to receive full-body treatment in one unified place.

"Our clients' main concerns are that they have to go to many different places to get all of the services they need to prep for the big day," explained Viadero, which is why more and more brides-to-be are seeking out wellness centers that offer everything from fitness, nutrition, and massage, to acupuncture, hypnotherapy, and integrative health services.

The best pre-wedding treatments for brides are non-invasive.

Non-surgical procedures, like microneedling, radiofrequency, or laser, are all options you can begin three months before the wedding. Although these treatments aren't aggressive, Viadero recommended only working with board-certified dermatologists or plastic surgeons—and to avoid centers and salons that offer medical-grade therapy without the oversight of a practicing physician.

Spa-shy brides that aren't used to investing in treatments should start small.

If you're not used to budgeting for the spa, don't sign up for every treatment on the menu in the name of pre-wedding wellness, especially if you aren't going to continue treatment after the big day. Viadero suggested starting with a treatment designed to relieve a pressing concern, and building a relationship with spa-based therapy from there. "Once good results are experienced regarding an issue that is making life a little less comfortable, spa guests more easily understand the importance of proactive wellness—and stop viewing spa therapies as mere pampering, or a reward or indulgence."
