Look youthful and well-rested when you walk down the aisle.
The skin around our eyes
is very telling: It crinkles up when we smile and laugh, but it swells
and darkens when we're stressed or exhausted. Because the area
surrounding the orbital bone has no oil glands, it's often where we see
the first signs of aging and/or stressed skin. There isn't a bride on
this earth that doesn't spend sleepless nights worrying about the wedding details, so some makeup artists need to work a little harder to make sure their brides look refreshed and rested.

Here are some tips to prepare your eye area before the wedding, which will help you to look healthy and awake, and will allow your eye makeup and concealer to be applied more evenly.
Lay off the salt.
This is good advice for a variety of reasons, but you will see a
noticeable difference once you make an effort to reduce your sodium
intake. Too much sodium causes the body to retain water,
which will make your whole face look puffy. If you tend to get bags
under your eyes after eating sodium-rich foods, a few weeks of no salt
will make a world of difference.
Drink a ton of water.
This is the oldest and most common advice that you hear when it comes
to health, wellness, and beauty, but seeing is believing. You will see
big results as soon as you start drinking enough H20 each day. Your skin
will look vibrant and plump and your under-eye area will not look dehydrated
or puffy, as the water will flush out sodium and prevent water
retention. Also, make sure to drink even more water after you have
consumed coffee or alcohol, which counteracts the benefits of the water.

Applying eye cream
twice a day is the gold standard, but most women are lucky if they
remember it just once. As your wedding day approaches, you need to give
your eye area extra TLC. Pop an anti-puffing, tightening eye gel in the
fridge and grab that each morning while you drink your coffee. To make
sure you use your eye cream before bed, place a reparative, hydrating
formula on your nightstand so you have no reason not to put some on
before you fall asleep. This routine should ideally begin once you get
engaged, but starting it even a month or two before the big day will
prove fruitful.
