Every month, Women's Health takes your biggest health, fitness, and nutrition questions and puts them in front of experts to answer. Below, Francesca J. Fusco, M.D., the assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, answers the following question:
"For the best wrinkle-prevention results, should I be applying eye products at night and in the morning? Or is nighttime enough?"

Because the skin around your eyes is thin and you use the surrounding muscles all day long (blinking, squinting, etc.), I recommend using eye products—yes, you may want to layer multiple types—both morning and night.
Read the labels to choose ones that cater to your needs (de-puffing, moisturizing, etc.), and apply them in order of thinnest to thickest—liquids, then gels, serums, lotions, creams, ointments. (Always apply your eye products before face ones, like your SPF.)
Two eye routines:
In the morning after cleansing skin, apply an eye serum that targets your problem (for example, if that's dullness, try one that says "brightening"), and even better if it also contains vitamins C (protection from free radicals) and E (an antioxidant).
In the evening an hour before you go to bed (this gives the products time to absorb before you lie down on bedding), cleanse your face, then use a retinol eye cream, followed by a moisturizer for your eye area.
