Buttery blonde, espresso brown, and rose quartz aren't going anywhere, friends.

Espresso Brown

You may think lighter hair colors are a classic spring look, but brunettes are having a moment, too. "Brown hair colors will be more woodsy, ranging from chocolate to espresso," predicts Giselle, a colorist at Pierre Michel Salon.

Blonde with Dark Roots

[post_ads]Your grandmother might scoff at it, but visible roots are very okay these days. Letting a bit of your natural color show underneath a dye job, like Margot Robbie does here, gives your hair an unusual contrast. But don't worry: If you want to quickly cover up those roots, use Rita Hazan Root Concealer Touch-Up Spray ($25,

Blonde with Dark Brows

[post_ads]If you really want to be on trend, opt for dark brows and light hair like Rosie Huntingon-Whiteley. If you don't want to make a permanent brow commitment, a tinted pomade like Glossier Boy Brow ($16, that's one shade up from your natural color allows you to test it out.

Deep Plum

A dark, vibrant purple shade like Justine Skye's is a fresh, modern take on a not-so-natural hue.

Color-melted Ombre

"Color melting is a new technique that creates a multidimensional effect," says Ouidad stylist Chadwick Pendley. "Multiple tones melt together and produce a natural look that appears seamless." So pretty!

Rose Quartz

[post_ads]Since Pantone declared Rose Quartz one of its Colors of the Year in 2016, there's been an influx in people heading to the salon to snag this subtle, pastel hue, and it hasn't let up since.

Cuivre Red

Want to keep your red extra vivid? Remember to shampoo less, condition more — red comes out easily, so washing it less frequently keeps it looking fresh. You can also use a color-enhancing red conditioner like Joico Color Infuse Red Conditioner ($13,

Serenity Blue

"I see creative colors being used in a softer, less bold way, almost a dusty look," says celebrity stylist Brian O'Connor. If you're already a pale, pale blonde, you can try a lighter version of this delicate blue shade.
