Real talk: Snooze button syndrome happens. But you can still look like you have it all together when you’ve got the right hairstyle. Thanks to Coterie member Olivia Jeanette, here are five easy looks to copy when you’d rather be sleeping.

Mohawk Half-Up Braid

It’s like the trending center part braid on steroids. Grab a three- to four- inch section of hair at your forehead and loosely French braid it, stopping at the crown. Side note: It’s perfect for second- or third-day hair for obvious reasons.

Twisted Side Braid

Rather than wrangling three strands, this “braid” uses only two. Think of it as a Dutch twist, where you start with two pieces at your part, picking up more sections as you work your way down toward your ear. Pin it back and voilĂ !

Cross Bun

Nine a.m. meeting? This bun means business. Section off the front of your hair and clip it out of the way. Then pull the rest of your hair back into a sleek bun at the crown of your head. Unclip the front section and part it down the middle. Just wrap the right side of hair over the left and pin it under the bun. Do the same thing on the left side and you’re one step closer to crushing.

Messy Side Braid

If you haven’t exactly mastered the French braid, this style is a good way to practice—the messier the better. Swoop your hair to one side and create a loose French braid. Pull a few pieces out at the front and wrap them around a curling iron (if you have time).

Scarf Headband

Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like. A silk scarf can make any ordinary hair day look like something out of a Parisian style book. Fold it diagonally until it’s about two inches thick and then loop it from the nape of your neck up to the top of your head and tie it in a knot. Tuck the ends in and let your hair do its thing. Psst…it looks just as cute with your hair in a messy bun.
